This is the movie Wed(d)ad from 1936, i.e. almost a one century old movie. Umm Kalthoum is starring and sings, so you need to enjoy the movie for the music first and foremost. Another aspect of the movie is the costuming, in which the film makers invested really a lot of effort, design and work.

In terms of dance, there are two main scenes: one is at the beginning in which a group of dancers dance a 9/8 aksak or karshilama dance, but in a way that can be local to Egypt or fantasy. The music form exists in Turkey and Greece but is danced in different way.

The other scene is at minute 37 onwards in which two dancers dance with swords. Enjoy!
